Reading

I finished reading this a few days ago.  It's the second Banks novel I've read; the first being 'Wasp Factory'.  I really enjoyed the book and it's well written.  Set in the Scottish Highlands, north-west of Glasgow, near Oban, reading about the setting made me want to go back to the Highlands and just stand outside and appreciate the open and empty country.  It's quite beautiful around there and even though it's well known, like Loch Fyne, it's not busy.
